Between 1984 and 1986 the 1st year pupils of Enniskillen High School made a guide book for the area. Under the guidance of the then Principal ( Mr Ronnie Hill ) and a team of teachers, the book was produced as part of an EEC Environmental Education Programme. It was "a colouring book, made by children for children". All beautifully written out by hand and lavishly illustrated by the youngsters themselves, the 30 page booklet was photocopied, bound and published by the school. It was then sold in Enniskillen's Visitors Centre and local shops. Tony Johnson , who was a High School art teacher at the time and one of the co-ordinators of the project, says demand was so great they went into four reprints.
