Spending a few moments browsing I came across "your place and mine". Over the years since National Service spent in Belfast I have visited NI and captured any number of photographic shots.

The photo below forms the wallpaper to my PC monitor, taken from alongside Scrabo Tower. Save to say all my shots bring back happy memories.

Regards,

Stan Woodward

I have a watercolour painted by G.Farrell and titled Scrabo. Co Down. which I brought at auction several years ago. Imagine my surprise when I accessed the internet and viewed this site. The painting shows the tower and in the foreground an expanse of water and houses. It is quite a well constructed painting. Is anyone out there familiar with the artist G Farrell? I would be interested to know.

Hello Stan, highly interested in anything to do with Scrabo. My g-g-grandfather died in 1870 at "Scrabo Cottage", which I understand is no longer there. Demolished to make way for new development I guess. Beautiful picture presented on the website. Be interested to learn of any others. Enjoyed the site, particularly "Ode To The Titanic" which I have never encountered previously. Regards, Marina.
