YOUR RESPONSES Helen Horner (Connor) - Mar '07 Being in Australia I didn't realise that Churchill House was getting "blown up" . I worked there for ashort time in the typing pool of the Ministry of Finance around 1965. This is a great site. Ian McHugh - Jan '07 A great loss of some of Belfasts finest architectural heritage, where were the environmental heritage society or the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society? Gareth - June '06 I liked the way it was blown up. Parker McKenna - March '07 I'm glad to see it's gone! it was a horrible old building and hopefully the new development will be much more attractive! Raymond O'Regan - February '05 I enjoyed the pictures of the demolition of Churchill House. When it was constructed in the 1960's the contractors had to dig down 265 feet and at that time it was the deepest pilings for any building in the UK. Norman Johnston - December '04 Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately my wife and I were leaving on the Liverpool boat that morning and we were never in a position to see it. But now we have! Thanks.
