Newcastle		Amelia Earhart		Easter
Memories of summer seaside magic are conjured up in "Holiday Places Apart: Newcastle", which was broadcast in July 1994 on BBC Radio Ulster.		In 1932, Amelia Earhart became the first woman pilot to cross the Atlantic. She took off from Newfoundland, heading for Britain, but landed well off-course in an open field near Londonderry.		Easter was an important occasion, people liked to look their best and it was often the first outing for new clothes and a beautiful Easter bonnet.
