Chris McClurg, a pastry chef at a Belfast restaurant won the title of Young Chef of the year.

This heralded the beginning of a long apprenticeship which took him to London and France and back to Belfast where he would put his knowledge, skills and training into practice.

The passion which marked out the young chef to the judges of the Young Chef award is evident in this clip.
