|  Programme two brings us to the Special Olympics, which happened this summer in Dublin. Focusing on the Sports department at RTE (the host broadcaster) the programme takes a multi-media approach and allows students to examine the different ways in which the event was covered by the international media - television, radio, photography and internet. |

examine different approaches to sports coverage across a range of media research, write and deliver their own commentary of a given event work in teams to 'make' their own sports programme in the classroom analyse and compare the decisions made by media professionals - for example what a programme or photograph includes and what it chooses not to show write an essay, imagining the personal experience of a special Olympian
