How long you surfing? Two years and a couple of months

3 sentences that describe you/what you do:
I'm definitely an easy going person but can be prone to grumpy spells just ask anyone. Have just become a proud dad for the first time best feeling I have ever felt bar none. As for what I do not a lot except work(as little as possible) and surf(as much as possible).

Where and why did you start surfing?
Started in bundoran after a free surf lesson

Any surfing honours, comp wins etc?
Getting barrelled is the only honour or win I need.

Your fave board: quiver me timbers?
At the minute the quiver is : 6ft 10 Rosy custom fatboy flyer, 6ft 4 Rosy custom shortboard and a 6ft JS industries Fatfish2. My favourite has to be my Rosy 6ft 4 Custom made for me by Rosy a real solid performance board and hand crafted from scratch, boards like this are becoming hard to find a lot of shapers are starting to use some kind of machine in the shaping process now.

"Surfing is getting more popular in Ireland for sure". Discuss: Surfing in Ireland is only really starting to show signs of becoming popular most breaks you can still surf with only a handful of people even on good days.It will be interesting to see what happens to the surf scene here will it follow the paths of other countries and will localism rear its ugly head I hope not.

Most surf friendly pubs / gigs / eateries:

Has to be sandies for the pub as for gigs not that many surf related gigs going on except surfism which is real good craic. Hard to whack McGrory's for that post surf feed the grub is fantastic.

Favourite Surfer/s and why:
Probably on the ASP tour has to be Slater he's a machine, and not on tour it has to be Shane Dorian for his sheer surfing ability, the dudes like a cat.

Best thing about surfing:
Where do you start with this one, so many good things, but for me has to be that time to yourself, nothing else matters when your on a wave and no two waves are ever the same.

Your top music/reading/movies/tv/radio, surf or otherwise:

Pre surf has to be Greenday(gets you going) and Bob Marley post surf(so many good tunes) / The Michael Peterson story by Sean Doherty (A surfing legend with one hell of a life story he was one of a kind for sure.) Some real stunning surf dvd's out there like any of the moon shine conspiracy ones but 'out of order' is one of the best I've seen its not the typical surf film.

Any ambition as a surfer?:
To never stop till the day I drop.

Dream surf trip:
Has to be the Indo boat trip!

Anything else to declare?
Thanks to my long suffering girlfriend for being so understanding when it comes to surfing and for giving me a son.
