Now that summer has arrived, Mark and Roe Valley Environmental Educator Mick Conway will be exploring some of the less well known natural habitats here in the North West. Town terraces, chimney pots, city parks, dusty hedgerows - you name it.
Mick's philosophy - "You don’t have to travel miles into the country to see great summer plants and animals. Get out there and explore the wildlife on your own doorstep."
Listen to Summerwatch online, or weekly on the Friday show after 3pm. Email your summer wildlife pictures to mark.patterson@bbc.co.uk
