Elkie Brooks

Elkie Brooks will perform at this year's festival for the first time.

She was just 15 when she left her childhood home in Manchester to pursue a dream of becoming a singer. She appeared on package tours with various artists including The Animals and The Beatles through the sixties - but held on to her love of jazz. Over the past five decades she has produced 19 studio albums, and earned numerous awards and accolades. This will be her first appearance in the City of Derry Jazz Festival.
