PLANNERS' STATEMENT

The Planning Service said: "We have always agreed the uses on this site could be hotel, residential, etc. It is a city centre site. However, design is crucial. There is a need to respect the adjacent listed building, the Walled city Conservation Area and the key location at entrance to the city. We would be happy to engage with the company to assist them in bringing forward an acceptable scheme."
