THE PLAYHOUSE

The Playhouse in Derry has moved back into its newly refurbished building in Artillery Street.

In 2004 The Playhouse was a finalist in the BBC programme, “BBC Restoration”. Since then The Playhouse has secured £4.3 million to completely refurbish its historic buildings and build a new extension to the rear. Work started in Artillery Street in October 2007 and it has now been completed.

LISTEN	INSIDE OUTSIDE Outside becomes inside, there are doors for giants, wooden cobbles, and echoes of history at the newly refurbished Playhouse. Niall McCaughan from the Playhouse gave Mark Patterson a walking tour.
