HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR

For nearly 60 years Slovak-born Tomi Reichental remained silent about his experiences as a nine-year-old boy incarcerated in the Nazi death camp of Bergen-Belsen.

He told his story in a ground-breaking documentary, 'Till The Tenth Generation,’ directed by Gerry Gregg, and shown as part of the Foyle Film Festival.

Thirtyfive members of his family were killed by the Nazis.

He spoke to Mark Patterson about his memories, and about his childhood torment at the hands of the Gestapo and their Slovak collaborators.
