Belfast’s Europa Hotel recently hosted a day-long conference debating an Irish Language Act for Northern Ireland. Many distinguished guests attended, including SDLP leader Mark Durkan, Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams, Language Commisioner in the South Sean Ó Cuirreáin, and Éamonn Ó Cuív, all broadly supporting a Language Act for the North of Ireland.
