BRIAN WILSON

Brian Wilson Tá cuid mhór cainteoirí Ghaeilge na hAlban a dhéanann céiliúradh ar nascanna a dtíre leis an Bhreatain agus tá sásta agus bródúil bheith mar chuid den Ríocht Aontaithe. Pléann Eoghan Ó Néill cursaí náisiúnachais, féiniúlachta agus teangan le Brian Wilson, iar-Aire Rialtais, fear gnó, agus fear mór Ghaeilge na hAlbain. Tá neart tuairimí conspóideacha ag Wilson faoi na cursaí seo agus cursaí eile nach iad -
cumhacht núicleach agus Sellafield ina measc.

Unlike Gaelic speakers here, who would be reticent to be identified as British, there are many Gaelic speakers in Scotland who are proud of their own link with the Union and for whom a dual British and Scottish identity presents no conflict. Eoghan Ó Néill discusses these issues with former Cabinet minister, successful businessman, and passionate Gaelic-language supporter Brian Wilson. Known for thinking outside the box, Wilson has challenging views – about the language, about Scottish nationalism, and even about nuclear power and Sellafield.
