SHIRLEY VALENTINE

Tá Bríd Ó Gallchóir ina haonair ar an ardán insan léiriú is déanaí den dráma "Shirley Valentine", ar chéadléirigh Willie Russell sa Learphól insan bhliain 1986. Gearóid Ó Cairealláin a d'aistrigh go Gaeilge, agus tá sé stiúrtha ag Niall Ó Síoradáin.

In 1986, Willie Russell's play "Shirley Valentine" was premiered in Liverpool and moved onto various theatres throughout the world, including West End theatres and then Broadway in 1990. The lady herself is back on stage in Ireland in this production from Aisling Ghéar theatre company, with Bríd ó Gallchóir taking on the role of the bored housewife who turns her life around after a trip abroad. Karen Kirby joined Bríd and director Niall Ó Síoradáin in rehearsals….

"Shirley Valentine" is staged at the Cultúrlann on 30th October to 1st November and 4th November, and on the 2nd and 3rd November at the Millennium Forum as part of the Oireachtas events in the city.
