DÁITHÍ SPROULE

Bhí Dáithí Sproule ina bhall den ghrúpa ceannródaitheach Skara Brae agus tá sé ina bhall d'Altan ó tháinig siad le chéile mar ghrúpa ag tús na n-ochtóidí. Tá sé ina measc siúd a d'fhorbair stíl DADGAD don ghiotar agus faoi láthair, tá sé le cluinstin i mbun ceoil leis an ghrúpa Fingal. Tá cónaí ar Dháithí Sproule i Minnesota le breis agus 25 bliain anois ach pilleann sé ar a fhód duchais go minic. Dáithí Sproule is a founder member of Skara Brae, has been with Altan since they formed, is credited as one of the first guitarists to develop DADGAD tuning, and currently tours with trio Fingal. Dáithí has lived in Minnesota for more than 25 years but returns to Ireland regularly. While in Belfast recently, Dáithí dropped in to Lynette Fay in the BLAS studio to perform the traditional song "An Chreach" and to have a chat about his latest projects.
