The Story

Davy recalls his time in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Davy gives us an intriguing insight into the emotional state of the men, and how the little things can have a profound effect on the soul.

Sadly, Davy Russell died on 9th April 2007. His story was broadcast with the permission of his family.

Below is an extract from BBC Newsline as they followed Davy on his return to Japan. Mark Worthington reports.
