Anne Mc Guigan

"I just think how privileged and proud of him I was that day…"

The Story

Anne shares a memory that has stayed with her for many years. The magic and wonder of Christmas is brought to life through the innocent honesty of a child’s eyes...

Comment: I was one of Ann McGuigan's tutors at the Adult Literacy class in Cookstown and I am delighted by her success and in total awe of her talent. Ann always said how much we inspired her - may I now say how much of an inspiration she has been to me ... so much so, I have written and am in the procedure of receiving funding for an exciting new reading scheme to help both children and adults learn how to read. None of which would have been possible without the faith' belief and success of students like Ann.

Comment: I have never been so proud of my mother asI am today. She is an inspiration to her entire family, and we love her so. I am so glad we encouraged her to go back to higher education and persue her love of writing. I would also like to thank her teachers and my family for their inspiration. The animation by the BBC was fabulous. I can't wait for the next story and more family photos, online. She is still the most beautiful woman in the world! Love Joanne and your loving husband Olly.xxxxx

Comment: I so enjoyed my cousin Anne's story...the way she wrote it, the way she told it...the way she lived it! She is a remarkable woman and has made me feel so welcomed into the family...and family is so important to us both. God bless you Anne.
With much love,
