The Story
Sarah woke up around 8am as normal and was thinking about getting ready to go to school, just like any other rainy Wednesday. She realised though that there was something different about the house this morning. No-one had come to wake her. There was a strange quietness. It wasn't long before she knew something was different and, when she asked, her mother told her that her grandfather had died overnight. She remembers how that day was a pivotal point in her life. "I felt like a part of me was gone really", she says.
