Margaret Morrow

"In one way it seemed very unreal…you felt that this wasn’t happening to you."

The story...

Margaret wasn’t keen on her job as a junior clerk, and was glad when her day ended and she could return home. During her evening supper they were interrupted by a knock at the front door...

PREVIOUS story, NEXT story

Margaret wrote to her brother regularly while he was away. Before his death he had sent a letter to Margaret but her mother did not pass it on. Years later Margaret found the letter and in the video below she shares its contents with us.

Click here to watch another video of Margaret as she talks about her brother, and the fun they had together as children.

Comment: How good to hear Margaret's story. I have not seen her for a good number of years. I used to meet up with both Margaret and Maimie as well!
Best wishes

Comment: Knew this family and the grief for Harvey was there until his Mum and Dad passed on . Margaret talks of him often and it was a lovely tribute.
