Remarkable Moment: The last band of Vital '07, the last date on the Killers 'Sam's Town' tour, it's a performance of some significance and Brandon is determined to give us something that we can "take home to tell ma". Boy do they make good on that promise. The Killers bring their inimitable Vegas glitz, the stage a riot of dazzling neon, the music a rampage of vicarious thrills. Flowers is the consummate showman, flailing like a Pentecostal preacher, arms beseeching, are their believers out there? Only 30,000 or so. It seems churlish to pick favourites from a set list that includes 'Somebody Told Me', 'All These Things I've Done' and 'When You Were Young', (including a reprised version finale), but no song filled the moment as utterly and as perfectly as 'Mr Brightside'.

Crowd Reaction: Rocked and awed.
