We were totally covered at this year's Oxegen festival, we didn't get caught out like last year. Nope, we had a load of wellies in a range of sizes, a suitcase full of ponchos and non-rubbish umbrellas, and a nice hotel room with hot running water, plenty of towels and, naturally, some monogrammed bathrobes.

Such forward planning left us in high spirits to chase around after our favourite bands for a wee chat. We bumped into our favourite techno-poppers Dry County, two boffins from We Are Scientists, gave Peanut from the Kaiser Chiefs a lift in our golf buggy and chatted to Republic of Loose after they gave us an impromptu live performance. We also encountered the soon-to-be-enormous General Fiasco, the already almighty Oppenheimer, the up-and-coming Coronas and the biblical Noah and the Whale.
