DAY ONE, 2.25pm OVERVIEW: Uber-Dubs step up for their big moment. CROWD REACTION: Despite the rain belting down, a huge gathering properly get going, with ring-leader Mick Pyro begging we dance, which we do, en masse. The Oxegen masses love to cheer on the local boys and the Loose set gives us more than a few special moments. After deciding "these kids don't want any of that soppy sh*t", Mick sticks to the filth-funk that has given this band a rep for bein' rude. IMPORTANT MOMENTS: Mick's entrance. Looking dapper in a charity-shop grey suit/pink shirt/€3 comedy shades shirt combo, he slides onto the main stage to chants of "LOOSE, LOOSE" and demands satisfaction. Isabelle joins him for the awesome 'Break', during which every band member goes for it so much, things almost fall apart, in a glorious blaze of freaky dancing and over-enthusiasm. And predictably enough, 'Comeback Girl' gets the biggest sing-along of the festival so far. They came, they sleazed, they conquered. OXEGEN RATING OUT OF TEN: 9, for that suit alone.
