OPPENHEIMER
DESCRIBE IN THREE WORDS: Indie pop lovliness

CROWD REACTION: As expected with Oppenheimer, the crowd absolutely loved them. With the sun shining and such catchy indie-pop gems, it was impossible not to leave the Small but Massive Stage without a massive smile on your face. By now Oppenheimer are one of the most well known bands round these parts and the crowd sang along with every word, for both old classics and new album tracks. Also, one of the finest things about going to an Oppenheimer gig, is that you immediately feel that you're involved.

REMARKABLE MOMENT: An extremely difficult choice to make. Apart from the feel-good songs and usual band-crowd banter, 'Major Television Events', 'Stephen McCauley For President' and 'M.O' were stand out tracks for me. Airhorns, beachballs and silly string all round. And we would expect nothing less. I'm still a bit unsure about the prospect of Oppenheimer turning into a four-piece permanently, but the extra input adds even more to their perfect performances.

GLASGOWBURY RATING OUT OF TEN: 9
