Glasgowbury 2008
MANTIC
DESCRIBE IN THREE WORDS: Loud Funky Rock

CROWD REACTION: Mantic played quite early in the afternoon, so the crowd turnout surprised me. There was a decent sized audience who were appreciating what the band had to offer. People seemed to be up for it and it was a great way to pump up the crowd for the rest of the day. There were a lot of fans at the front who were really getting into it.

REMARKABLE MOMENT: The most remarkable moment was either the fancy dress costumes worn by the band, or the fact that Mantic had clearly upped their game for this gig. At previous gigs they failed to interest me at all and looked as if they were trying to find their musical feet. However, they looked quite comfortable on a festival stage and were much tighter than before. At times the sound was a bit overwhelming, and not necessarily in a good way. Perhaps with a few more gigs under their belt, they will improve further. Definately worth a look though.
