Glasgowbury 2008
FIGHTING WITH WIRE
DESCRIBE IN THREE WORDS: Always On Form

CROWD REACTION: It goes without saying that when FWW play, everyone stops to listen, before breaking into a fit of rocking out. This time was no exception. There were crowd surfers, the biggest mosh pit we have ever seen at a 'local' gig and people jumping around to such an extent that we hope the paramedics were close at hand. If crowd reactions are a good way to judge the success of a festival, then this years Glasgowbury was amazing. The energy from the crowd and band bounced off each other and the whole area was crammed with people worshiping at the altar or FWW. There's no doubt about it, Fighting With Wire are one of the most loved bands in the country.

REMARKABLE MOMENT: The most difficult decision of the weekend, to pick a single moment from this set. 'Cut the Tranmission' and 'Sugar' were higlights from the track selection. We also nearly had a post gig brawl, as a wise guy in the crowd decided to throw a pint, which front man Cahir called him on. Realising that the mosh pit was pretty much consisting of the whole crowd, he also reminded us to mosh safely and pick each other up. Fighting With Wire were undoubtedly the band of the festival. It was so impressive that I felt bad for Ash having to follow them.

GLASGOWBURY RATING OUT OF TEN: 10.
