Glasgowbury 2008
BOATHOUSE
DESCRIBE IN THREE WORDS: Two great singers

CROWD REACTION: A good turn out considering the Eagle's Rock Acoustic Stage was the Sesame Street kid who was doin' their own thing - turning away from the other three stages and looking moody. At least it was close to the beer tent and the toilet area (does six toilets count as an area?). The crowd were here for Boathouse before the first note was struck so they must have been present on word of mouth rather than speed of sound.

REMARKABLE MOMENT: Loving the band's new direction. Since the last time I saw them in 2006 when they'd just released Trail of Ghosts EP they've added Amy McGarrigle to the band. The vocal talents of Gerry McCrudden which were once understated now mesh brilliantly with McGarrigle's dulcet tones. They like a good surge do Boathouse - hence the obvious Arcade Fire comparisons when the band join together in a culmination of joyous noise. Their new EP is called What I Remember - Boathouse will be what I remember about Glasgowbury 2008.
