Describe In Three Words: Geek triumphs again.
Remarkable Moment: Opening with the blistering ‘Fat Children’ the crown prince of the kingdoms of Geekery and Sheffield promises to make us not alright as they (he and his band) are "the hard boiled egg of the picnic". This is the end of the tour for the guys and they put their emotions to one side to blind us with ‘Black Magic’ and their closing cover of ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’.
Crowd Reaction: We love dear old Jarvis, but it’s noticeable that it’s the more uptempo material get the reaction from the crowd, and with only one album to draw from the set gets padded out with between song chatter. The easy (in this country) option of a cover gets the requisite big cheer.
EP Rating: 7 – the last track is a cheap shot, there’s too much between song filler and he’s using up a lot of good will from his Pulp days without enough of a live pay-off.
