Describe In Three Words: Nordy dread rocks.
Remarkable Moment: Il Duce is so "refreshed" that he falls towards the drum kit twice during the encore, having the time of his life, belting out 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick'. He later stage dives. Class.
Crowd Reaction: Next door neighours the Beasties are a rowdy lot and we're worried that they might muscle out our lads. Three words... no f**kin chance. From the start of 'Brixton Leaves', the Crawdaddy tent is rammed with the usual Duke Special mix of the old, the young, the hip, the square and the odd raver in the wrong area completely. At one point there are two casulaties dancing at around a 130bpm tempo to 'No Cover Up'. New song 'Love is Better Than This' sounds awesome in an 'I Don't Love You' style, full of gusto and pep. The set is gobbled up hungrily, and Peter and co are patently loving the EP vibe, firing the banter at one another throughout. Rae is on top form, as ever, and Chip is worth watching for a whole gig on his own. The biggies, 'Freewheel', 'Last Night...' and 'Salvation Tambourine' are all chorused by the crowd, with the second verse of Freewheel sung entirely by the punters. It is massive, and a great chance to finally belt it out in our own accent, then laugh at the Dubs trying to say 'yeuu' insetad of 'yeww'.
