Joe Echo is the musical alter-ego of a man named Ciaran Gribbin. You may remember his work with a band named Leya once upon a time. You may also have caught him playing with his brother, John, in Building Pictures.

The world of Joe Echo live or on record is usually one of large, layered landscapes topped with tasty vocal hooks, but he proved himself equally adept at the stripped down acoustic sound when he popped into our wee tent at Glasgowbury 2009 (with his bro in tow) to perform Tilly's Cowboy.

We also caught up with him backstage at Oxegen 2009 and invited him to take up ATL's 60 Second Challenge. He dutifully obliged, with intruiging results...
