Adrenaline

By Miloud Bolton, 14, from Northampton.

I have run to the moon and back, gone where no man has gone
Stars fall as I embrace their radiance
I stand above mere mortals, touching the clouds
I gaze at the stars, my eyes stretching millions of light years away.

I levitate for split seconds, adrenaline taking its toll
I stand on four wheels, gliding along the footpath
Morning after morning pain surges from bone to bone
Flesh swells, skin bruises, sacrifices made for love.

Grabbing for dear life, pushing my limits to victory.
Feet bleed sore on hells path
Balance overwhelms me, pain overtakes me
Techniques are limitless, downloading for years to come.

The town is my playground, an urban jungle
I feed on them, adrenaline powers
Street obstacles limitations are endless
It just depends how you use it.

I run in a pack, I fall as one
I learn from others, they learn from me
Best friends bought by years of commitment
Luck is a charm, falling like leaves in autumn.

Future cloacked, mind clouded, life predictable yet unpredictable
The sky is a surface which can suck you into the obiss, or reality
Sure, surroundings are evil, spiritual and physical
But so far I choose to live, and I wont stop.
