Sleeping Beauty

By Danielle Bellotti, 8, from Desborough.

Traditional Fairy Tales - Introduction

Once upon a time there lived a King and Queen who said every day, "Oh, that we only had a child!" But they never had one.

But one day the Queen told the King she was going to have a baby! The King announced the Queen was going to have a baby! When she had the baby they had a royal party at the castle. Then the King's old friend came in but because she was evil she didn't come in politely, she burst in with a bang!

"Why didn't you invite me to this stupid party!" she boomed.

"Uhhhh...... I don't know. Why do you want to join?" said the King softly.

"NO I DON'T!" shouted Eadilane.

Then the Queen shouted, "I know a name for our baby girl."

"Go on then!" said the King.

The Queen took a great big gulp, "Aurora," said the Queen.

"Great!" shouted the King.

Then they heard the sound of wings at the door.
