As well as £20 million worth of assets, the Griggs Group has also given the trust a cash injection of £750,000. As Helen explains, she's thrilled at her new challenge: "It’s absolutely overwhelming. It’s a marvellous opportunity for Rushden & Diamonds Supporters' Trust and obviously it continues the football club going forward. We’ve a new season to look forward to and we’re really excited about it." Max Griggs, meanwhile, was reflective about the end of his 13 year involvement with the Diamonds: "I've got mixed emotions as I've had 13 fantastic years here. We've had a lot of success and doing what we've done is, obviously, a sad day for me. But at the same time I feel very happy that I'm giving it to the right people."
