Michael Walsh and his siblings, twins Ryan and Liam, will fight on the same card as David Haye and Enzo Maccarinelli. The three boxing brothers from Cromer will be fighting on the same card at London's 02 Arena on Saturday, 8 March, 2008. Michael Walsh will face Khvicha Papiashvili, Liam fights Steve Gethin and Ryan takes on Robin Deakin. The fights will take place on the under-card of the fight between David Haye and Enzo Maccarinelli. A fight that boxing promoter Frank Warren, thinks is the biggest all-British clash since Nigel Benn fought Chris Eubank in 1993. Warren has shown faith in the trio to put them on such a big bill, a gesture which hasn't been wasted on on Michael. "It's a bit of pressure to perform and we will. The guy I'm fighting is undefeated. He must have a lot of faith in me and think I can do the job. I can and I will," he said. ![]() The trio will fight in front of 16,000 boxing fans The Walsh brothers made their first professional appearances at London's ExCel Arena on Saturday, 2 February, 2008. Flyweight Michael Walsh and twin brothers Liam and Ryan, who box at Featherweight and Bantamweight respectively, won their debuts without stoppages. The brothers are all too aware that the previous fight means nothing, and its this fight that is important. "This one is far bigger, its a massive card to get on. There's gonna be something like 16,000 people there when its full," said Liam. "What an experience for our second fight, you can't go wrong," he added. last updated: 06/03/2008 at 17:52 You are in: Norfolk > Sport > Sports Features > Walsh brothers ready for action at the 02 Arena
