Lee West loves Christmas, so much so, he likes to get the festive season off to a twinkling start around the middle of November. Lee felt he missed out on Christmas as a child and was determined that celebrations for his own children would be more magical. "As I child Chistmas wasn't that great for me. I was the one in the middle and I seemed to get left out a bit... I decided when I got my own family and my own house I'd got the full hog," he said. "I usually start around 10 November. It takes about a week to sort out all the bulbs and test them. It takes about a week to 10 days to put them on the front of the house," he added. Lee has been decorating his house for five years. Many of the lights are imported from America and cost anything between £30 - £150. New for 2005 - a shining Christmas cracker. "I like doing it because I've got two little girls and they get really excited - I get exciting about it myself," said Lee. "People come from miles around and see my house, they stop and have a chat and ask where I get them from. I just enjoy enjoy seeing little kids' faces glow up as they walk pass," he added. |
