Jools will bring his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra to Blickling Hall on Saturday 23 July for a concert with a firework finale. He will be joined on stage by Sam Brown and Ruby Turner, both of whom appeared with him at Sennowe Park, near Fakenham, last summer. The 47-year-old's blend of infectious boogie woogie, performed by an 18-piece orchestra, is now a regular sound in Norfolk but this is the first time he will have performed with the backdrop of the stately home near Aylsham. Jools is the latest in a string of stars persuaded to come to Blickling by David Heartfield of promoters Stately Homes Tours. "We are delighted that Jools Holland and his Rhythm And Blues Orchestra have agreed to perform at Blickling," said David. "When he takes the stage, he will be the twentieth big name star to perform at Blickling, which has grown from a one night show to a full festival over two weekends featuring some of the best acts of pop, rock, jazz and blues and attracting over 40,000 people," he added.
BBC Radio Norfolk is an official media partner for the event. Editor David Clayton said, "It's going to be a really exciting summer for music lovers in Norfolk and we're delighted to be a part of it." The roster of stars who will be performing at Blickling Hall and Thetford Forest this summer include Meatloaf, Status Quo, Will Young, Madness, Daniel Bedingfield, Beautiful South and Ian Brown. Tickets for the Jools Holland show are £27.50 and go on sale at Blickling Hall on Friday 11 March. |
