Intense profile

Aylsham-based band Intense hope to put their experience of playing local gigs to good use by securing sets in London. The band have recently recorded their first demo at Norwich's Ashwood Studios and are busy writing material for their debut album.

Intense got together after singer-songwriter Kate Bradley split from her band GSX and was introduced to guitarist Mike Whitlam.

Mike was already good friends with drummer James Cann who used to be in a band with bassist Rob Bickerdike.

The four decided to pool their talents in a new group and Intense was born.

The Aylsham-based band have been working hard on writing new material as well as fine-tuning covers for their gigs.

Intense rehearse each week and perform around once a fortnight and enter competitions whenever possible.

Every month they gig at the Marsham Arms in Marsham, near Aylsham. They aim to use the experience they've gained at these gigs by performing in London.

The four-piece are committed to putting Intense on the musical map and plan to make the band a full-time venture.

The group have already been busy in the studio recording their demo and will soon have enough songs for an album.
