The guy who claims to be Britain's youngest professional beatboxer, Lippicool, aka Nimesh Jani, won the lion's share of the online and mobile phone votes to gain a wildcard place on the new talent show coming soon to BBC Two, Let Me Entertain You.
Could he now wow a studio audience at BBC Television Centre and perform uninterrupted for three minutes?
We got access to Lippicool and joined him on the Let Me Entertain You set.
Watch Lippicool as he prepares for his big moment. Q1. Tell us more about the Let me Entertain You auditions When I applied for the show I didn't think they'd like my sort of thing. A lot of people think beatboxing is just one genre. Q2. What would be your top three tips for a successful audition? You've got to be confident, fluent in the way you speak and just be natural. Just think you're going to get it. Q3. How did you get into beatboxing? I got into beatboxing at the age of ten. It's like learning a different language. Q4. Do you like performing and how do you prepare for a performance? When I'm performing to a bigger crowd its much better. I always make sure I drink a lot of water before I go on stage. Q5. What musical influences have been important to you? I take on board not only music but also include the sounds of everyday objects like cars. |
