Distressed couple Robert and Gertrude Hesketh

Lurgan home attack

An elderly couple say an attack by a gang of masked men has left them too scared to return to their family home of 40 years.

The gang used a hammer to smash open the front door of the house in Tarry Drive in Lurgan last night.

They told Robert and Gertrude Hesketh they had 48 hours to leave the area or their home would be burned.

The couple have been speaking to our reporter, Gordon Adair.
