Sentence for McCauley's attacker

Darryl Proctor, who is 18, was one of a gang who attacked Paul McCauley and some friends as they cleared up after a barbeque in Londonderry in 2006.

 The judge said it was undoubtedly a sectarian attack of a kind all too familiar in Northern Ireland.

The Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly William Hay has told BBC Newsline that sectarianism is a cancer in our society which must be rooted out. Our North-West reporter Keiron Tourish reports
