The smell of Hallowe'en fireworks still lingers on the breeze but already the people of Ballymena are preparing for the next big date in the calendar - Christmas.

Whether your reaction to that is Yippee! or Bah Humbug!, it means the County Antrim town is the first in the UK to open up for for the season of goodwill.
