Justin Bieber says he's planning the "biggest stage production" in V's 21-year history when he headlines the festival next month.

The singer will appear in Hylands Park, Essex, on Saturday 20 August and Weston Park, Staffordshire, the following night.

One part of the act will see 800 gallons of purified, 40C water soak the star at the front of the stage.

That's quite a lot of warm water.

Other details about the production are being kept secret.

Rihanna is the other main headliner for the two-day event.

Sia, Bastille, David Guetta, Little Mix, Jess Glynne and Jake Bugg are also performing for the festival's 21st anniversary.

For the first time this year there will also be a BBC Radio 1 Summer of Dance stage on Friday 19 August.

Stage splits have also been announced.

Justin Bieber has finished the North American leg of his Purpose world tour.

He then travels to Japan for two gigs before starting the European leg in Iceland on 8 September.

He comes to the UK for four concerts at London's O2 Arena in October and another two at the end of November at the same venue.

Rihanna will perform at her only UK festival in Hylands Park and Weston Park.

The singer had to postpone her Nice gig during her Anti world tour earlier this month after the lorry attack on the French city, in which 84 people died.

She's touring through Europe until her appearance at V Festival before travelling back to America in September and Abu Dhabi in November.
