The mystery of the stolen T in the Park cash machine

Police are appealing for information after a cash machine was stolen at T in the Park.

They said the ATM contained "a significant amount of cash" when it was stolen at the festival on Friday.

And it's led to some questions around how it actually happened.

Security guards have now been posted on the remaining machines at the Strathallan Castle site to ensure no more are targeted.

"T In The Park you were amazing as always. I am very curious as to how someone stole an ATM machine though... Please send details," Annie Mac wrote on Twitter., external

Nobody knows where it is but a Twitter account is trying to help.

"I'm tied up in a tent somewhere near Strathallan in Perthshire. I can hear music. Can somebody come and find me?" wrote a parody account pretending to be the ATM., external

And they're even offering a reward.

It continues: "There is a reward available for whoever can find me. I have money ...", external

The parody account suggested Edith Bowman may know more.

It tweeted: Hey @edibow, I heard you outside this tent I'm in half an hour ago. Could you bring me some beer and a bag of chips?, external

The last post says: "Some very drunk people here. Listen lads, I'm a cash machine, the portaloos are round the corner!", external
