Chocolate by The 1975 has been voted as Zane Lowe's hottest record of 2013.
The Radio 1 DJ asked listeners to vote for their favourite tracks from his top 100 Hottest Records of the Year with the results being played out on his show during the week.
Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High? by Arctic Monkeys was second on the list, with Bring Me The Horizon's Shadow Moses in third.
Chocolate peaked at number 19 in the UK chart when it was released in February.
Zane Lowe said it was the closest the annual list had ever been.
Arctic Monkeys' single was leading the vote until the evening before the poll closed.
The band's singer Matthew Healy said: "That's amazing. Shout out to the Arctic Monkeys, they're an incredible band. Thanks for everyone who voted.
"You've got no idea how much that song has achieved when it wasn't supposed to achieve anything. I'm really proud of it."
The 1975, along with LA trio Haim, had four hottest records during the year.
The band's self-titled debut album topped the Official Album Chart in September and stayed in the top 40 for 15 weeks.
When asked about when the band would be releasing new music, Healy added: "We've been writing so much. We're going into the studio in January 2015. 2014 is gone, it's booked up."
The singer suggested the band might put out an EP at some point next year.
