Ground Zero Islamic centre developer defends plans

Eight months into the controversy over whether an Islamic Cultural Centre should be built near Ground Zero in Manhattan, the site of the 9/11 attacks, the developer behind the project is defending his plans.

In his only interview for an international broadcaster since the divisive row intensified, Sharif El-Gamal has been talking to the BBC's Laura Trevelyan in New York.
