People in Jersey have been warned not to drink and drive after four people were arrested for the offence over the weekend.
One offender's lowest reading was more than two-and-a-half times over the limit.
Jersey police said people could be stopped for any driving offence - such as speeding - and be breathalysed.
Penalties include losing your licence for at least 12 months, a £2,000 fine and up to six months in prison.
During 2010, a total of 215 people were arrested for drink driving, this compares to 222 during 2009 and 200 during 2008.
