- It's "don't know you." "The people who dislike you don't know you. The folks who hate you, they don't know you," Mr Obama said in an interview on Sunday. "What they hate is whatever funhouse mirror image of you that's out there. They don't know you."
- It's turmeric. A drug derived from the curry spice turmeric may be able to help the body repair some of the damage caused in the immediate aftermath of a stroke, researchers said.
- It's the second one. She took an earlier line, "What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming," and changed it slightly. The correct line, as all American schoolchildren know, is the first one.
- It is Kenya, where women announced a ban on sex in 2009 to try to force a political settlement. Talks between the Flemish and French-speaking parties on a coalition have been deadlocked since June, and Belgium is now close to the world record for failing to form a government after an election.
- It's the French scandal. French President Nicolas Sarkozy told his government to holiday at home in response to revelations that Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie flew on a Tunisian businessman's plane during the country's uprising. Also Prime Minister Francois Fillon admitted he took a new year break in Egypt, paid for by President Hosni Mubarak.
- It's Russia. Four islands in a chain that stetches north from the Japanese island of Hokkaido are known by Russia as the Southern Kuriles, while Japan calls them the Northern Territories. They were seized from Japan at the end of the World War II.
- It's the cow. From next autumn, Russia will stop putting its clocks back in winter. The move is aimed at sparing Russians the stress of the annual time change. Explaining that prolonged daylight would be be healthy for our country, the President referred to: "Unhappy cows or other animals who don't understand the time change and don't understand that the milkmaid is going to milk them at a different time."
