More than 300 people attended the funeral of a child who died in a skiing accident in France.

Carwyn Scott-Howell, seven, from Talybont-on-Usk, Powys, was on a family holiday in the French Alps last month.

The service was held at St Mary's Church, Abergavenny.

Last week, an inquest heard Carwyn's body was found on 10 April, on a ledge in the resort of Flaine after he became separated from his family.

Gwent deputy coroner Wendy James adjourned the inquest until June.

Many mourners wore bright clothing, at the request of the family, for Friday's church service.
