Fifty years since south Wales smallpox outbreak
It was 50 years ago on Friday a man arrived in Cardiff from Pakistan, carrying the deadly smallpox virus.
In the months that followed nearly a million people had to be vaccinated against the disease which killed 19 people in Bridgend and the Rhondda Valley.
