In pictures: Biker Nick Sanders' ride across Americas
Nick Sanders, 53, from Abercegir, near Machynlleth, Powys, is back home after completing a 50,000km (31,000 miles) journey from the top of Alaska to the bottom of Argentina, and back.
Mr Sanders completed the Pan-American journey in 46 days, and says he is waiting to have it verified as a record.
He completed the southbound journey in 21 days and 18 hours, and the return leg in 24 days and eight hours.
He describes himself as a "full-time adventurer" for the past 30 years, having completed seven round-the-world trips on a motorcycle and two on a bike.
He describes this as the "hardest journey I've ever done", and says it will be his last record-breaking attempt.
As well as some memorable scenery, Mr Sanders said he also saw some interesting locals - including this woman hiding behind a plate in Bolivia.
Mr Sanders described his achievement as "like climbing Everest twice in the motorcycle world".
Mr Sanders says he has ridden 400,000 miles (644,000km) on his bike, and "never had an accident".
He says the highlight was completing the southbound journey in 21 days - the low point "taking 24 days to get back".
